An Insights Management client (NZ Based)

This client has clients in 120 countries using their software to manage research, insights, and website optimisation.

Key Take outs: Fixed price contracts delivered on time and on budget with ongoing support as needed, complex SFDC/SFMC requirements, fully responsive landing pages and email templates, journey builds, hyper personalised emails.

To assist this client we:

  • Managed data migration from previous MAP.
  • Developed complete data model in SFMC for single customer view.
  • Built email templates, forms, landing page templates etc.
  • Developed nurture journeys and onboarding journeys.
  • Leveraged SFMC API to generate true real time triggered journeys based on form fills.
  • Created AMPScript constructs to generate hyper personalised emails based on existing products mix/client size etc.

A Tertiary Education client (NZ Based)

This client runs a range of courses, and also contracts with a government agency to provide digital skills to small business owners.

Key Take outs: Fixed price contracts delivered on time and on budget with ongoing support as needed, ran product selection process, full Marketo implementation, complex SFDC/Marketo requirements, fully responsive landing pages and email templates.  Ongoing relationship providing technical and strategic direction as required.

To assist this client we:

  • Managed the initial product selection process for their MAP (they were already using SFDC)
  • Delivered full Marketo SFDC integration, worked with their SFDC team to design and build processes converting leads to opportunities and then leveraging those opportunities in Marketo, duplicate management, and developed onboarding journeys etc.
  • Built email templates, forms, landing page templates etc.
  • Developed nurture journeys and onboarding journeys
  • Delivered full rebrand in 2023 including building landing pages for preference management.

A Financial Services client (US Based with offices in AU and EU)

This client operates across multiple countries, some GDPR and some not.  They also deal with complex regulatory requirements around which of their products can be marketed to which countries and which type of clients (they operate in B2B and B2C).  

Key Take outs: Projects done in Marketo covering highly complex email templates, landing pages, GDPR, multi language, custom integrations, data warehousing, and analytics.  This is an ongoing relationship; I continue to provide operational and analytical support to the team as well as continuing to extend their operational capabilities.

To assist this client we:

  • Developed email templates that allow for hyper personalisation of content based on subscriptions, regional eligibility, and client type.
  • Developed multi language emails and landing pages for better communication with non-English speaking clients.
  • Built double opt-in protocols for countries where it is required.
  • Built custom integrations to directly create custom objects in Salesforce to extend the capabilities of the native integration.


A Financial Crimes/Compliance client (US Based)

This client recently acquired a company with a complementary product.  

Key Take outs: Fixed price contract delivered on time and on budget.  Major migration project scoped and delivered end to end under significant time pressure.

To assist this client we:

  • Liaised with their Marketing team, Sales team, and Salesforce admin team.
  • Scoped the Marketo aspects of the migration including leads, lists, emails, forms, programs, program members, activity history, and landing pages.
  • Designed protocols for managing the manual aspects of the migration process.
  • Developed code to handle the automated aspects of the process.
  • Ensured alignment between data being merged from into the existing Salesforce instance from the acquired instance and the records being either created or updated in Marketo.


    A Retirement Village Operator (NZ Based)

    This client had been experimenting with Marketo but weren't getting any real value from their agency. They had a bespoke CRM.

    Key Take outs: Initial fixed price contract delivered on time and on budget. Complete blue sky Marketo implementation. Multi year relationship that continued to expand the customers use of Marketo.

    To assist this client we:

    • Ran workshops to determine requirements.
    • Built a full bi-directional integration between Marketo and bespoke CRM.
    • Built email templates, forms, landing page templates etc.
    • Developed nurture journeys, onboarding journeys, content recommendation rules etc.
    • Helped them build analytics suite external to Marketo but including data from Marketo.
    • Developed longitudinal scoring to assist the sales team in prioritising calls.
    • Developed hyper personalisation that surfaced content related to villages of interest in a single monthly newsletter, branded the email as coming from their primary village of interest etc.
